Mrs. Anna Roley Sphar, widow of Albert C. Sphar of Fallowfield J Township, Charleroi, R. D. 2, died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital, Thursday, September 23, 1954, at 9:45 a.m. Mrs. Sphar was born in Belle Vernon, April 17, 1869, the daughter of Jacob T. and Hannah E. Krepps Roley. She was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church. She is survived by three stepsons, Theodore Sphar, Charleroi, R. D. 2, Lester Sphar, Cleveland, Ohio, and McKinley Sphar, Pittsburgh, one brother, William H. Roley of Belle Vernon,a sister,Miss Jennie K. Roley of Charleroi,R.D.2,one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family during visiting hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.,at the Schrock Funeral Home. Services will be held there Sunday,September 26,1954,at 7:30 p.m. Private interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Monday morning,September 27,at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Wilbur P. Blackhurst will be in charge. Harold L. Schrock is the funeral director.
