Louis (Newton) Ross;formerly of Belle Vernon died Monday March 1;1977;at his residence in Washington;D.C. Mr.Ross was born Dec.16;1912 in Pricedale;a son of the late Robert and Derry Ross. He attended Belle Vernon schools and;after serving in the Army in World War II;he moved to Washington;D.C. He was employed at St.Elizabeth Hospital and later at Mann Potato Chip Co.from which he retired. Mr.Ross was preceded in death by his wife;Gladys Addison Ross;on July 19;1970. Survivors include his daughter;Mrs.Joseph (Patricia) Johnson with whom he made his home;a brother;George W.Ross of Monessen;a sister;Mrs.Elizabeth Ross of Youngstown;Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the Rollins Funeral Home in Washington;D.C.on Saturday. Friends will be received in the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m.in the Speers St. A.M.E.Church;Belle Vernon;with Rev.S.W.Chambers;pastor;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
