Joseph (Boots) Radish;74;of 124 Perry Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;March 20;1972;at 8:35 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Yugoslavia on Aug.11;1897. He was a veteran of World War II. He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in 1965. He was preceded in death by a sister;Julia Sudor;in June of 1971. He was a past president of the Washington Twp.Fire Department. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion Post 659 in Belle Vernon;Elks and Eagles in Monessen. Survivors are two brothers;John of Belle Vernon and Richard of Carmel;N.Y.and two sisters;Mrs.Nick (Pauline) Radock of Belle Vernon; Mrs.Sally Richie of Belle Vernon;and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;where a service will be held Thursday;March 23;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Igor R.Soroka of St.Nicholas Orthodox Church;Donora;officiating.
