Lee J.Roberts;17;of Johnson Hill;Pricedale;died Wednesday afternoon;Aug.6;1969;as a result of drowning in the Youghiogheny River at Smithton. He was born April 24;1952. Roberts;who would have been a junior this fall at Belle Vernon Area High School;was a guard on the Belle Vernon Area High School football team last year. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents;George and Leona Mae Johnson Roberts;a brother;Daniel and two sisters;Jacqueline and Marlene;all at home and maternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.Roy P.Johnson of Pricedale. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.on Aug.7 at the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home;Monessen. Service there Saturday;Aug.9;at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Atney J.Dickerson;rector of Bible Baptist Church;officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Robert A.Billick is funeral director.
