Obituary

Mrs.Grace (Hough) Rankin,75,of Belle Vernon R.D.1,died Saturday Oct.10,1964,at 4:30 p.m.in Westmoreland Hospital at Greensburg. Mrs.Rankin had lived in the Belle Vernon area most of her life. She and her husband,John K.Rankin,owned one of the oldest farms in Rostraver Twp.,located at Rankin Corners. She was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon R.D.,Mary Brown Class of the church,Rostraver Grange No.919,Daughters of America,and Order of Eastern Star,Miriam Chapter No.175 of West Newton. Mrs.Rankin was born in Banning on June 10,1889. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters,Mrs.Thomas (Natalie) Johnston and Mrs.Walter (Marie) Young,both of Belle Vernon R.D.,two sons,John G.of Belle Vernon R.D.and Bruce P.of Milan,Ohio,one sister,Mrs.Percy (Goldie) Willis of Canonsburg,fourteen grandchildren,several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the James C.Stump Funeral Home,Sweeney Plan,Belle Vernon R.D. Service ther Tuesday,Oct.13,at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev.Jesse R.Houk,pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church at Belle Vernon R.D. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. James C.Stump,funeral director.
