Mrs.Laura Powell Russell;89;of Monessen;died in the Evangelical United Brethren Home;Quincy;Pa.;October 2;1959;at 9:10 p.m. Mrs.Russell had been a resident of Monessen since 1902;and was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of Monessen. Preceded in death by her husband;Alfred Thomas Russell in 1932;and her son;Samuel;in 1957;she is survived by one sister;Mrs.Clara Levens of Pittsburgh;four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday at the Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;and services will be held there;October 5;at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev.Lester Crum. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
