Gertrude B. (Gert) Kissler,88,of Mulberry Street,Belle Vernon,died Friday,April 20,2001,in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Aug. 4,1912,in East Pike Run Township,she was the daughter of the late Shirley Lewis and Edna Pearl Curl Griffith. Methodist by faith,she had resided in Belle Vernon since 1948. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law,Donald and Joyce Kissler of Belle Vernon;a sister, Doris Hall,formerly of Speers Hill;and a dear friend,Eleanor Schneider of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Albert M. (Bert) Kissler,who died April 17,2001;three sisters,Edna Godfrey,Bertha Jones and Von Hoffman;and three brothers, Lou,Tom and Leejay Griffith. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.,a Golden Rule Member Firm,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
