Obituary

Joseph Quintier,60,of 407 Main street, Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,Dec.4,1956,at 9:12 a.m. in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospial.  He was employed as an electrician at the Allenport mill of the Pittsburgh Steel Co. nd served as Belle Vernon Borough treasurer for 24 years.  He also served as a borough councilman some years ago.  He was president of the Italian Beneficial Society, Belle Vernon,and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge,the Veterans of World War l,Barricks 350,Charleroi and Belle Vernon Post 659, American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Cicco Quintier;two daughters, Mrs. George (Rose) Kander of Belle Vernon and Joan,at home;one son, Thomas,at home;his father,August Quintier;two sisters,Mrs. Jack ( Jennie) Flora of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Pantano of Detroit, Mich.,and one grandchild. Friends are being receive at the Toner Funeral Home,Broad avenue, Belle Vernon,between the hours of 1 and 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Friday,Dec. 7,with Requiem High Mass at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Sebastian R.C.Church with Rev. Henry Hanse officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R. Toner, funeral director.
