Obituary

Humbert Peroney,91,of 115 Sherwood Ave.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at 6:30 p.m.Wednesday,March 30,1977,in Charleoi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Emblem,Pa.,on Aug.27,1885 and had lived in the Belle Vernon area since 1912. He was a retired mine worker and belonged to the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife,Matilda Peroney,on May 17,1976,and by a son,Humbert Jr.,in 1944. Surviving are two sons,Kermit W.Peroney of Belle Vernon and Leonard E.Peroney with whom he resided,also of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Mrs.George (Virginia) Waggett of Belle Vernon,two sisters,Mrs.Almeda Nichols of Brownstown and Mrs.Grace Ferguson of Punta Gorda,Fla.,eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Hartzel A.Michael of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
