Rose Payne;38;of 930 Knox Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;Feb.20;1976;at 7:50 a.m.in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh;from gunshot wounds suffered in an incident on Tuesday evening in Monessen. She was born in Monessen on July 26;1937;a daughter of the late Allen Hall and of Mrs.Lillian Hall of Monessen;who survives. Surviving also are her husband;Russell Payne;two sons;Russell Jr.and Dirk;both at home;a daughter;Janice;at home;two brothers;Ted Smith of Bethel Park and Glenn Hall of Los Angeles;Calif.;two sisters;Mrs.Mary Mitchell of Blythedale and Mrs.Jane Jenkins of North Carolina;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday and Monday. Services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m.in Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen;with the Rev.William Bass of Monessen in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
