Obituary

Joseph F.Plewniak,87,of 1375 Fayette Ave.,Fairhope,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,July 1,1975,at 7:50 p.m.at Brownsville General Hospital following a brief illness. He was born Feb.26,1888,in Poland. Mr.Plewniak was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Polish National Catholic Church of Fairhope and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. Survivors include his widow,Stella Gwisdiak Barnot Plewniak,one son,Walter Plewniak of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.Jeanie Pawlak and Mrs.Lena Pawlak,both of Bayonne,NJ.,three stepsons,John Barnot and Andrew Barnot,both of Belle Vernon,and Steve Barnot of Brownsville,two stepdaughters,Mrs.Josephine Plewniak of Belle Vernon,and Mrs.Jennie Harrold of Washington,Pa.,one brother,Walter Plewniak of Dillonvale,Ohio,18 grandchldren,and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received from 4 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where a prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10 a.m. at the Polish National Catholic Church of Fairhope with the Rev.Bernard Nowicki of Canonsburg officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
