Obituary

Olive E.Palfrey,66,of 516 Short St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly yesterday at 5:30 p.m. in the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospitals,Inc. She was born in Pricedale Nov.12,1905,a daughter of Steward Wells,who survives,and the late Lily Hopkins Wells. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon and a member and past president of the Belle Vernon American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving,in addition to her father who resides in Belle Vernon,are her husband,William,four sons,Robert of Warren,Ohio,Richard of Dunnellon,Fla.,L.D.of Warren,Ohio,and James of Belle Vernon,six daughters,Mrs.Richard (Delores) Behanna Sr.of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Charles R.(Billie) Whitelaw of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Louis (Lois) Krecek Jr.of Cheswick,Mrs.William (Lillian) Mort of Port Richey,Fla.,Mrs.Clifford (Loretta) Sterner of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Kenneth (Sherry) Strenske of Belle Vernon,one brother,Curtis G.Wells of Belle Vernon,one sister,Mrs.Mabel Stedman of Orlando,Fla.,14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 10 p.m.Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where a service will be held Friday,Oct.27,at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.Charles Colas of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon officiating.
