John Petroka Sr.,83,Cook St. Ext.Fayette City,died Tuesday, Sept. 5,1972 at 2:05 a.m. in Brownsville Hospital. He was born May 15,1889,in Czechoslovakia. He was a retired coal miner and a member of United Mine Workers Union 2148. He belonged to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon. He is survived by three sons, John Jr. at home, George of Fayette City R.D.1 and Michael of North Charleroi; a daughter,Mrs. John (Mary) Daniels of Fayette City R.D.1and five grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where Parastas services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday and Prayer services at 11 a.m. Friday,followed by Requiem services at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon,with the very Rev. Vladimir Soroka officiating. Burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
