Funeral service was held Friday,November 3,1967,in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon for a former Belle Vernon and Charleroi woman,Mrs.Margaret Porter,87,of Cleveland,Ohio,who died in the Cleveland Golden Age Nursing Home Thursday,November 29,1967,at 4:30 a.m. Mrs.Porter who was born in Glascow,Pa.,April 21,1880,had lived in Cleveland 12 years. Her husband,Elmer,died 25 years ago. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Clell (Clyota) Hixenbaugh of Cleveland and Mrs.Alverta Parent of Fort Smith,Ark.;five grandchildren;many nephews and nieces,including Mrs.Bertha Sangston of Cleveland,with whom she made her home. Officiating at the funeral was the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Baptist Church. Interment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
