Obituary

Baldo (Bud) Paterline,a former Belle Vernon borough councilman and well-known vocalist in the Mon Valley area,died Monday afternoon,Feb.21,1966,at the age of 54.  Mr. Paterline,a resident of 380 Vermont Ave.,Rochester,Pa.,suffered a heart attack while at work with the Coffeen Construction Co.at Unionville,Pa.  Mr.Paterline was a member of St.Cecelias Roman Catholic Church of Rochester,its Holy Name Society,Knights of Columbus and Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.  A former member of the Rochester Lions Club,he was a charter member and past president of Volunteer Fire Co.No.2 of Belle Vernon.  He also belonged to Fayette County Firemen's Association and Western Pennyslvania Firemen's Association.  At one time he was a councilman in Belle Vernon.    A veteran of World War II,Mr.Paterline served with the 303rd Co.97th Infantry Division in Central Europe and Japan.  He is survived by his widow,Margaret;two daughters,Mrs.Richard (Darla) Quinn of Monaca,Pa.,and Mrs.Richard (Margie) Verch of Okmulgee,Okla.;one grandchild;two brothers,Dan and Edward of Charleroi;two sisters,Mrs.Emma Lodovici of New Eagle and Mrs.Laverne Mahon of Dunlevy.  Friends are being received at the Batchelor Funeral Home in Rochester.  Requiem High Mass will take place Thursday,Feb.24,at 9 a.m.in St.Cecelia's R.C.Church in Rochester. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Batchelor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
