Mrs. Leora Jane Patterson,65,of 506 East Gate Manor, Monessen died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,Friday, Dec. 31,1965 at 9 p.m. She was born in Monongahela May 9,1900. She was a member of the Wayman A.M.E. Church of Monessen,the missinoary society,Keystone Temple 92,IRPOE of W.,Donora,of which she was a Past Daughter Ruler,and Alpha Council No. One of Western Pennsylvania,which she served as escort and door-keeper. She was a former member of the Women's Democratic Club of Monessen, and served on the Senior Citizen's Committee of the East Gate Manor Recreation Center. Surviving are two sons, George Patterson of Monessen and John Patterson of Brooklyn,N.Y.; one brother, Hayes Catlin Sr. of New Eagle;one sister, Mrs. Lois Hutchison of Charleroi;two stepsons, one step-daughter;four grandsons,one step-grandson and six step-great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Percy Law Funeral Home,Donora. Services will be held Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. from the Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monessen in charge of the Rev. R.A. Lattimer. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Law Funeral Home,Donora,is in charge.
