Mrs. Anna Popelas,94,died at the home of her son, Andrew Popelas,101 Corwin St.,Roscoe,on Sunday,Septermber 10,1961 at 11:10 p.m. She was born in Austria-Hungary,Feb. 15,1867,and was a member of the Slovak Catholic Union of Monessen. Survivors are five sons, John of Reading, George of Cleveland,Ohio,Andrew of Roscoe,Stephen and Mike of New York City,one daughter,Mary,in Europe,twenty-two grandchildren,twenty great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Eckert Funeral Home,Roscoe,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be sung in St. Joseph's Catholic Church,Roscoe, Wednesday,Sept. 13,1961,at 9 a.m. by the Rev. Herbert Cost,of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Coal Center. Ruth and Emil Eckert of Roscoe are the funeral directors.
