Mrs. edna A. (Stagi) Pope,59,of Dunbar,died at 8 p.m. Friday,Sept. 8,1961 in Connellsvile State Hospital. She was born Sept. 26,1902,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of Fred and Georgia Lehew Amalong. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church of Dunbar and the Carroll Bible Class. Surviving are her husband,Edgar;a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Lenora) Rinehart of Belle Vernon,R.D.4; three step-sons,Edgar Jr. and Frank of Cleveland,Ohio and Carl of Dunbar and three grandchildren. The body will be at the Burhans funeral home at Dunbar after 7 p.m. on Saturday. The funeral service will be held there at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Paul V. Sweitzer officiating.
