Peter Podany;80;Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;February 2;1958;at 10:20 p.m. He was born in Czechoslovakia;June 25;1877;and had lived in Fairhope for 44 years. He was a member of the St.Edward R.C.Church;Fayette City. Surviving are a son John;of Roscoe and a son in Europe;a daughter;Mrs.John (Mary) Krofcheck;with whom Mr.Podany made his home. Five grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Freguson Funeral Home. Services there Wednesday;February 5;at 9 a.m.;will be followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Edward’s Church at 9:30 o’clock;in charge of Rev.Charles W.Ribick. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director.
