Mrs. Fannie Poke,of 1430 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 23,1957 in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mrs. Poke had been a resident of Monessen for the past 40 years. She was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church, Monessen and of the Ladies Altar Guild of St. John's. Her husband, Michael, preceded her in death in November,1956. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ann Lario of Donora; a sister, Mrs. Rose Hnapko of Belle Vernon and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at Check's Home for Funerals, 100 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen between the hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. where Blessing Services will be held Wed.,Nov. 27,at 8:30 a.m. Additional services at 9 a.m. in St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church with the Rev. John Govrusik officiating. Burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
