William P. Prentice, aged 47 years, 405 1/2 Fallowfield avenue, Charleroi, died Tuesday, Nov. 30,1954 at 10:05 p.m. at his late home. Born in Sunnyside, the deceased was a member of the First Methodist Church,Charleroi,and had been employed at the American Steel and Wire Co.plant in Donora. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Jackson Prentice;two sons, Ronald at home and Cpl. William C.,with the U.S. Army,stationed in Korea; three daughters,Mrs.John R. (Rhoda) Yates of Detroit,Delores Elaine,and Patricia Louise,both at home;his parents, Mr.and Mrs. James Prentice,Sr., of Charleroi; six brothers, Frank, Harry, David and Eugene, all of Charleroi,Daniel in the state of Oklahoma and James,Jr.,of Washington,Pa.,five sisters, Mrs. Louise Hixson,Mrs.William Saunders, Mrs. Gladys McCormick and Mrs. Anna Crabb, all of Charleroi, and Mrs. Dominick DiMascio of Van Nup, Calif. Two grandchildren also survive. The family will received friends at the Schrock Funeral Home,Charleroi,between the hours of 1 and 5 and 7 and 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Friday, Dec. 3,at 2 p.m.,with Rev. Robert Laing officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L. Schrock,funeral director.
