Obituary

Joseph Henry Pensis,54,of Stockdale,died suddenly Sunday night,June 6,1954,at 10:32 while at work at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr.Pensis,a member of the Jehovah Witnesses,was born Sept.3,1899 at Dillonville,Ohio. He is survived by his wife,Mrs.Blanche Ray Pensis,two sons,Leonard,of Columbus,Ohio,and Joseph Jr.at home,four daughters,Mrs.Donald (Wanita) Mitchell,of Stockdale,Mrs.Nelson (Rita) Mitchell,of Vesta,Mrs.Paul (Jennie) Queer,of Stockdale,Wanda,at home,his father,John B.Pensis,of North Charleroi,three bothers,John T.and Foch,of Toronto,O.,Jeremie,of Charleroi,R.D.,Four sisters,Mrs.Charles Muckle,of North Charleroi,Mrs.Jennie Cooper and Mrs.Olive Kulow,both of Weirton,W.Va.,and Victorine Rynberg,of Detroit. Seven grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the Melinchak Funeral Home in Charleroi where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.in charge of Robert Castiaux. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral home visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m.and from 7 to 10 p.m. Charles L.Melenyzer and Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral directors in charge.
