Stephen S. Nichol of 463 Center Ave., North Charleroi,died Tuesday, Aug. 2,1977 at 7:20 a.m. in Washington County Health Center. Mr. Nichol was born Oct. 1,1889 in Bunola,a son of the late John and Elizabeth Stanley Nichol. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Steinmiller Nichol,in 1972 and a son, Samuel Nichol in 1936. Survivors include two daughters,Mrs. Catherine Huscroft and Mrs. Raymond (Doris) Lehr,both of North Charleroi; a son, Stephen S. Nichol Jr. of Belle Vernon;a brother, Robert Nichol of Florida;two sisters,Mrs. Emily May Davis of St. Petersburg,Fla.and Mrs. Henrietta Staup of Charleroi;nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Harold L Schrock Funeral Home,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday, Aug. 4,1977 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Frank A. Bodnar,of the First United Methodist Church,Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Harold L. Schrock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
