Obituary

James Nagy,62,of 1009 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at 6:50 a.m.Tuesday,May 24,1977 in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Daisytown on Feb.19,1915,son of the late Steve and Josephine Racz Nagy. Mr. Nagy was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Daisytown. He was a member and past president of the Hungarian Club of Pricedale and belonged to the Belle Vernon American Legion. A veteran of service with the U.S.Army during World War II,he had been a captain. He was a retired mine foreman,having retired in March,1975 from Mathias Mine of Consolidation Coal Co. Surviving are his widow,Mary Bartus Nagy:one son,Robert James Nagy of Roscoe,one brother,Louis Nagy of Daisytown R.D.1,three sisters,Mrs.Louis (Helen) Kayatin of Lorain,Ohio,Mrs.Rose Ramoski of Daisytown R.D.1 and Mrs.John (Lydia) Kevech of Monongahela R.D.1,and one grandson,Robert James Nagy Jr. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m.Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m.Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m.with the Rev.Alexander Silay of United Presbyterian Church of Daisytown as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
