James Nagy;62;of 1009 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly at 6:50 a.m.Tuesday;May 24;1977 in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Daisytown on Feb.19;1915;son of the late Steve and Josephine Racz Nagy. Mr. Nagy was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Daisytown. He was a member and past president of the Hungarian Club of Pricedale and belonged to the Belle Vernon American Legion. A veteran of service with the U.S.Army during World War II;he had been a captain. He was a retired mine foreman;having retired in March;1975 from Mathias Mine of Consolidation Coal Co. Surviving are his widow;Mary Bartus Nagy:one son;Robert James Nagy of Roscoe;one brother;Louis Nagy of Daisytown R.D.1;three sisters;Mrs.Louis (Helen) Kayatin of Lorain;Ohio;Mrs.Rose Ramoski of Daisytown R.D.1 and Mrs.John (Lydia) Kevech of Monongahela R.D.1;and one grandson;Robert James Nagy Jr. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;after 7 p.m.Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m.Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 3 p.m.with the Rev.Alexander Silay of United Presbyterian Church of Daisytown as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
