James W.Nelson Sr.;77;of 137 Homewood Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Sept.26;1976 at 6 a.m.in the Central Medical Pavilon;Pittsburgh. Mr.Nelson was born in Webster on June 9;1899;a son of the late James W.and Frances Hensley Nelson. He is survived by his widow;Grace Vogel Nelson;two sons;Robert W.Nelson and James E.Nelson Jr.;both of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.James (Mildred) Baker of Monessen and Mrs.Jack (Clara Lee) Manown of Belle Vernon;one brother;Eugene Nelson of Belle Vernon;12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m.on Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.on Sunday with funeral services to be held on Monday;Sept.27;at 1 p.m.;with Pastor Hartzell Michael of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;officiating.
