Harry T.Niceling;77;of 209 Liberty Ave.;North Charleroi;died Wednesday;Jan.8;1974;at his residence following a lingering illness. State Police said he was found dead at his residence at 1 p.m.;and the death is under investigation by State Police;North Charleroi Police and the Washington County coroner’s office to determine the cause. Mr.Niceling was born in Uniontown on Jan.16;1898;son of the late Albert and Lizzie Pepper Niceling;and had resided in North Charleroi the past 30 years. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.where he had worked as an oiler. He was preceded in death by his wife;Elizabeth Rumble Niceling;in 1965. Surviving are one daughter;Mrs.Mildred McKennery of Florida;three sisters;Mrs.A.J.(Nell) Licking of Massillon;Ohio;Mrs.Helen Pinfold of Charleroi and Mrs.Andrew (Martha) Spridik of North Charleroi;five grandchildren;and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home;825 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m.;with the Rev.Allie A.Clayton of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon R.D.3 (Rostraver Twp.) in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Michael A.Melinchak is the funeral director in charge.
