Obituary

Joseph Leo Bilski Jr.,77,of Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,April 4,2001,in Mon Valley Hospital. Born March 19,1924,in Mayfield,Pa.,he was the son of the late Joseph Sr.and Anna Bilski. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion,Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City,Charleroi VFW ,Arnold City PNA No.976,Fairhope Rod and Gun Club,Emporium VFW,Perryopolis Sokols,Allenport Retirees Bowling League and Friday Night Men's Bowling League. H e was a veteran of World War II,serving in the U.S.Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife,Faye Levandowsky Bilski,a daughter,Florence,a son,John,and a brother,Clement Bilski. Survivors include his wife,Bertha Bilski,five children,Donna Bilski,Dee Dee Bilski and Marie Shellenberger,all of Belle Vernon,Cookie Dando of Newell and Ronald Skira of Arnold City,three brothers,Louis,John and Floyd Bilski,all of Belle Vernon,a sister,Adeline Barch of Belle Vernon,four grandchildren,Lisa Pollack,Chasity Girvin,Chrissy Broadwater and Michelle Skira,five great-grandchildren,Emily Pollock,Isaah Girvin,Nicholas Girvin,Tyler Girvin and Timmy Broawater,and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.,334 Main St.,Fayette City,on Thursday from 7 t 9 p.m.,Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Saturday until 9:30 a.m.,when a blessing service will be held,followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,with the Rev.Leonard McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
