Mrs.Clara C.Nelson;65;of 307 Water Street;Belle Vernon;died at her home;Saturday;July 28;1956;after a lingering illness. She was a member of the First Christian church of Belle Vernon;the American Legion Auxiliary;659;Patriotic Order of America;Degree of Honor;and the Sons of Veterans of the Civil War Auxiliary.She is survived by her husband;Richard Nelson;two sons;Richard;Jr.;and James of Clarksburg;West Virginia;one daughter;Mrs.Alverta Fields at home;three brothers;Jesse Reese of Akron;Ohio;Albert of Charleston;West Virginia;and Christy of Astoria;Oregon;three sisters;Mrs.Bertha McDonald of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Sophia Wiedl and Mrs.Margaret Adams of New Kensington;and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Wednesday;August 1;1956;at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev.James Rainey of the First Christian church of Broughton. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
