Nello N.Niccolai of 600 Lookout avenue;Charleroi;died in the Columbia Hospital;Wilkinsburg;Monday;February 13;1956;at 9:10 a.m. Mr.Niccolai was born in Montagniania;Italy;June 2;1895;the son of Raffaello and Ersilia Niccolai. He came to Charleroi in 1925 from Vesta;and was also a former resident of Belle Vernon. He was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church and the Holy Name Society. He was formerly employed by the Calistri Ice Cream company here;and at the time of his death;was an employee of the Meadow Gold Dairies of Pittsburgh. He was a member of Salvatore Barzilai Lodge;648;Order Sons of Italy. He was a veteran of World War One;serving with Co.L;320th Infantry in 1918. He was a member of Charleroi American Legion Post 22;and the Mon Valley Barracks;No.350. He is survived by his wife;Carobina Ferrari Niccolai;one daughter;Virginia;at home;four brothers;Primo;Dominico and Geno of Belle Vernon;and Narciso of Bentleyville. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home. Solemn Requiem High Mass will be sung by Rev.John J.Thomas in the Mother of Sorrows Church;Friday;February 17;1956;at 10 a.m. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Americn Legion Post 22;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.
