Born March 8;1896;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late John and Kate Worrel Martin. A resident of the Belle Vernon and Elizabeth areas his entire life;Mr.Martin was a retired employee of the P&LE Railroad. He was a member of the Victory Primitive Methodist Church;Elizabeth Twp.;and the P&LE Railroad Pensioners Club. Surviving are his wife;Sadie McCorkle Martin;one daughter;Mrs.Marjorie (Ruth) Scherler of San Mateo;Calif.;two brothers;Harry of Belle Vernon;Edwin K.of Fairless Hills;one sister;Ester H.Martin of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.Friday at the Lawrence W.King Funeral Home;Simpson Howell Road;Elizabeth Twp.;where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Merle Wilson;pastor of the Victory Primitive Methodist Church;Elizabeth Twp.;officiating.
