Obituary

Thomas W. Murt,55,217 Hoffman St.,Belle Vernon,died at noon on Thursday,Jan. 23,1969,in McKeesport Hospital. He was born in Washington Twp.,Fayette County,Feb.5,1913. He was a member of the St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club.  He had been an employee of the Wheeling and Pittsburgh Steel Company's Allenport Plant. Surviving are his widow,Helen Cope Murt; a son, Thomas,with the U.S. Army; a daughter, Mrs . Ronald (Patricia) Nandor of Greensburg; his father, John W. Murt of Fairless Hills,Pa.; three brothers, John of Fairless Hills and Mark and Joseph, both of Belle Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Domonick (Elizabeth) Canigiani and Mrs. George (Theresa) Tollan,both of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Howard (Margaret) Park of Fairless Hills and four grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,after 7 p.m. Jan. 24. Prayers there Monday, Jan. 27,at 9:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass in St. Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon at 10 a.m.  The Very Rev. Martin J. O'Toole, pastor, will officiate.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Howard W. McCrory is the funeral director.
