Phyllis Sabol;78;of 1308 Ridge Road;Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township);died Saturday;March 17;2001;at 6:35 p.m.in the Haven Crest Nursing Center;Carroll Township. She was born Dec.20;1922;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late George and Theresa Funk Diethorn. Mrs.Sabol was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 44 years. A member of St.
Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church; she was a homemaker
and enjoyed playing with her
local card club for the past 30
years. She is survived by her
husband of 50 years; Joseph J.
Sabol; three sons and two
daughters-in-law; Joseph and
Susan Sabol of Mercersburg;
Thomas and Belle Sabol of
Arroyo Grande; Calif.; and
Richard Sabol and his finance;
Lisa; of Glen Mills; one daughter and son-in-law; Cathy and
Robert Pfingsten of Madison;
Ohio; four brothers and sisters-in-law. George and Dorothy
Diethorn of Monessen; Lionel
and May Diethorn of Belle Vernon; Walter and Darlene
Diethorn of Belle Vernon and
Dennis and Crystal Diethorn of
Charleroi; one sister; Mildred
Allfree of Charleroi; six grandchildren; Joseph Coulter Sabol.

Claire Sabol; Anna Sweeney
and Alexandra Sweeney; one
niece; Carol Boltze Eliott of
Ohio; and numerous nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in
death by two sisters; Catherine
Boltze and Evelyn McManus.
Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev.Donald P.Trexler;parochial vicar;as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The St.Sebastian Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary Tuesday at 3 p.m.in the funeral home. The North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services Tuesday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home.
