Claude L. McCallister;68;of 1127 Second St.;Monessen;died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday;April 12;1967;at 12:30 p.m.at the Campbell Cycle Shop;Belle Vernon R.D.1;where he had gone to buy some equipment. Mr.McCallister;a veteran of World War I;was a member of B.P.O.Elks 773 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2399;both of Monessen. Mr.McCallister;also a member of the Monessen Sportsmen Association;was a retired ladle crane operator of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow;Blanche Tueche McCallister;a son;Louis;and a brother;Joseph H.;both of Monessen;one sister;Mrs.Garnet Parks of Shamokin;Pa. Friends are being received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home;Monessen. Service there Saturday;April 15 at 2:45 p.m. with the Rev.Joseph C.Riel;pastor of Monessen’s First Methodist Church officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer is funeral director.
