Obituary

Claude L. McCallister,68,of 1127 Second St.,Monessen,died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday,April 12,1967,at 12:30 p.m.at the Campbell Cycle Shop,Belle Vernon R.D.1,where he had gone to buy some equipment. Mr.McCallister,a veteran of World War I,was a member of B.P.O.Elks 773 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2399,both of Monessen. Mr.McCallister,also a member of the Monessen Sportsmen Association,was a retired ladle crane operator of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his widow,Blanche Tueche McCallister,a son,Louis,and a brother,Joseph H.,both of Monessen,one sister,Mrs.Garnet Parks of Shamokin,Pa. Friends are being received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home,Monessen. Service there Saturday,April 15 at 2:45 p.m. with the Rev.Joseph C.Riel,pastor of Monessen's First Methodist Church officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer is funeral director.
