Mrs.Mary Ann Melnick;89;of 3922 Haldane St.;West Mifflin;formerly of Belle Vernon;died this morning at 1 o’clock in Homestead Hospital. Mrs. Melnick was born in Austria;April 6;1876. She moved from Belle Vernon to West Mifflin three years ago. Mrs.Melnick was a member of the Church of the Resurrection of West Mifflin. Preceded in death by her husband;Andrew;and a son;Michael;she is survived by a son;Walter Melnick;Sr. of Belle Vernon;a daughter;Mrs.Stephen (Mary) Asmonga of West Mifflin;with whom she made her home;12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;after 7 p.m. Jan.27. Funeral services will be held Saturday;Jan.29;at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home;with services of Requiem High Mass to follow in St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon.
