Obituary

Ida Lee (Roberts) Maxwell, 55, wife of Dr. H. J. Maxwell, Monessen dentist and representative to the Pennsylvania General Assembly, died in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Sunday,April 26,1964,at 10 p.m. after a lingering illness. She resided at 1200 Hillcrest Drive in Monessen. Mrs. Maxwell was a member of St. Leonard's R. C. Church of Monessen and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles, Monessen Aerie. Surviving besides her husband are one son, Hubert J., Jr. of Monessen, one daughter, Maxine of Ontario, Calif , three brothers, Alvin L. Roberts of Monessen, an employee of the Valley Independent, James E. Roberts of Detroit, Mich., and George (Jack) Roberts of Pricedale, six sisters, Mrs. Mrs. Samuel (Nell) Hess of York, Pa., Mrs. Roy (Vernie) Hixenbaugh of Pricedale, Mrs. Frank (Betty) Maund, Mrs. Harry (Mary Ann) Kreuter, Mrs. Leo (Loretta) Rice and Mrs. Thomas (Coletta) Brooks, all of Monessen and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home, Monessen, after 1 p.m.Tuesday. A Blessing service will take place Thursday,April 30,1964 at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Leonard's R.C.Church,Monessen. The Rev. Regis M.Hickey,pastor,will officiate. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
