Obituary

James J. (Pop) Lovich of 327 Main St.,Fayette City was dead on arrival Saturday,September 25,1976,at 11:45 a.m.at Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Nov.5,1892 in Yugoslavia,a son of the late Mirko and Theresa Kovic Lovich. Mr.Lovich was a retired coal miner. He was a member of Holy Spirit R.C.Church,Fayette City,and was a life member of the Fayette City Volunteer Fire Co. Mr.Lovich also was a member of the Fayette County Firemen's Association,Fraternal Order of Eagles 1390,Charleroi,and the Fayette City Golden Agers Club. He is survived by his widow,Anna Yonash Lovich,two sons,Andrew of Willowick,Ohio and Frank of Levittown,Pa.,a daughter,Mrs.Theresa Stefanick of Fayette City R.D.1,a sister,Barbara Burec in Yugoslavia,six grandchildren,and one great-granddaughter,Jessica Ann. Friends are being received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,334 Main St.,Fayette City. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit R.C.Church at 10 a.m. Rev.Thomas Rinn will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A wake service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 7:30 p.m. Firemen's service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 8 p.m. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
