Catherine C.Lahey of 20 Knox Ave.;Monessen;died at 1 p.m. Thursday;June 4;1970;at Monongahela Memorial Hospital after being admitted June 1. Miss Lahey had worked as a Bell Telephone operator 48 years in Monessen and Charleroi;retiring in 1963. She was a member of St.Leonard R.C.Church;Catholic Daughters of America;Legion of Mary;St.Leonard’s Guild;all of Monessen;Ancient Order of Hibernians;Donora;and Pioneers of Bell Telephone. Born in Pittsburgh;she was a daughter of the late Edward J.and Ellen Horan Lahey. Surviving are three sisters;Mrs.John (Mary) Tormay of Monessen;Nellie Lahey at home;Mrs.K.W.(Agnes) Derousse of Bethel Park;a brother;Edward J.Lahey at home;four nieces and one nephew. A sister;Mrs.Anna McCahill;died in June;1969. Friends will be received at Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;after 2 p.m.June 6. Service there Monday;June 8;at 9:30 a.m.followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Leonard R.C.Church;Monessen;at 10 a.m. The Rev.Regis M.Hickey;pastor;will officiate. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
