Edwin N. Levy,44,of 1000 Morgan Ave.,Monessen,died Sunday,June 4,1961 at 8:20 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hosptial after a brief illness. Born in Fitzgerald,Ga.,Sept.2,1916,Mr. Levy had lived in Monessen for 42 years. He had been employed in the blast furnace department of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Anges Levy;two daughters,Thomasina and Marcelia Ann, at home;two sons,Edward and Leon of Brooklym,N.Y.;a brother,Martin of Monessen;three sisters,Mrs. Bertha Thompson,Mrs. Ruby Sims and Mrs. Ethel Hobson,all of Monessen. Friends will be received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,after 7 p.m.,June 5. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,June 7,at 11 a.m. from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev. E. Archie officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
