Obituary

William J.Lutes,Sr.,57,of Stockdale,died in the Presbyterian hospital,Pittsburgh,Thursday,February 13,1958,at 12:45 a.m.after an illness of two weeks.  He was born in Fayette City,January 13,1901,the son of William J.and Regina Zehfuss Lutes.  He was employed at the Allenport mill of the Pittsburgh Steel company as a gauger in the Cold Draw Department.  He is survived by his wife,Verna Sapko Lutes,two sons,William Jr.,of Stockdale,and Robert A.,at home,two daughters,Anna May at home and Mrs.Betty DiBiase of Vineland,New Jersey,two sisters,Mrs.Elizabeth Luce of Speers and Mrs.Sadie Kirkwood of Ellwood City,and three grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the Parkins Funeral Home after 1 p.m.Friday. Visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  Services will be held there Monday,February 17,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev.J.F.Bellville,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Byron C.Parkins is the funeral director.
