Mrs.Alice Lowman;84;widow of Dr.N.B.Lowman;died at her home at 226 Main street;Belle Vernon;Wednesday;March 30;1955;at 2 a.m.following a lingering illness. Mrs.Lowman;a resident of Belle Vernon for many years;was a member of the Belle Vernon First Methodist Church. Preceding her in death by ten hours was her daughter;Rebecca Lowman Berryman of Waynesburg;who passed away Tuesday afternoon;March 29;1955;at four o’clock. Mrs.Lowman was the widow of the late Dr.Norman Bert Lowman;who died Thursday;April 28;1921. She is survved by a daughter;Frances A.Lowman;at home;two grandsons;William Duncan Berryman Jr.of Arlington;Va.;amd John Duncan Berryman II;of Waynesburg;and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Saturday;April 2;1955;at 2:30 p.m.in charge of Rev.William Schatz. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold Toner is the funeral director.
