Obituary

Joseph (Joker) Kissler,79,of 112 Branch Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Feb.28,1972,at 5:59 a.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Jacobs Creek March 4,1892. A veteran of World War I,he was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Belle Vernon. He retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in 1962. He was preceded in death by his wife,Emily Ashley Kissler,Oct.20,1970. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Matthew (Emogene) Posick of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Mike (Vauna) Belsick,with whom he made his home,one brother,Charles Kissler of Monessen,and two sisters,Mrs.Martha Wylam of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Catherine Gaesser of Pittsburgh,four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m.Monday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday,March 1,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Ailey L.Dickerson of the Bible Baptist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
