John Krofchek;82;of 204 Long St.;Fairhope;was dead on arrival at Brownsville General Hospital at 3:40 a.m.Saturday;Feb.26;1972. He was born in Czechoslovakia Jan.30;1890. He was a retired coal miner. He was a member of Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City. Surviving are his widow;Mary;one son;John of Coraopolis;four daughters;Mrs.Mary Vasko;Mrs.Carl Pesi;Mrs.Margaret Fedora;all of Belle Vernon;and Mrs.Helen DiBasilio of Monongahela;13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 4 p.m.Sunday at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where a Rosary will be said Monday evening at 8 o’clock and a prayer service will be held Tuesday;Feb.29;at 9:30 a.m.followed by Mass at 10 a.m.at Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Stephen J.Drab officiating.
