Obituary

John J.Kilvady,1254 Rostraver St.,Monessen,died Monday,Jan.17,1972 at 3:20 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,after a lingering illness. Born in Donora,Mr.Kilvady was a lifetime Valley resident and had been employed in the former Donora Zinc Works. He was a member of Holy Name R.C.Church of Monessen and its Holy Name Society and of the Monessen Slovak Home. Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Helen Kilvady,one daughter,Mrs.James (Dolores) O'Brien of Buffalo,N.Y.,four granddaughters,two sisters,Mrs. John (Mary) Vivio and Mrs. Helen Droznick,both of Pittsburgh,and one brother,Joseph Kilvady of Monessen. Friends are being received after 7 p.m. Monday at the Billick Funeral Home,Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where a blessing service will be held Wednesday,Jan.19,1972,at 9:30 a.m. Rerquiem high mass will follow at Holy Name R.C. Church,Monessen,with the pastor,the Very Rev.Matthew Yanosek,as the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Robert A.Billick,funeral director.
