William C.Kitto;Sr.;84;of Crest Drive;Sweeney Plan;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Oct.15;1971;at 4:50 a.m. in Haven Crest Nursing Home;Monongahela. Mr.Kitto was born in Johnstown on Jan.4;1887. A former director of raw materials for the then Pittsburgh Steel Co.;he was active in community affairs in Monessen;having been a director of the Chamber of Commerce and of the Monessen Public Library. He was a member of the Monessen Elks Lodge and the American Iron and Steel Institute. He had been in retirement since 1950. His wife;Mary C.Kitto;died Jan.20;1954. He is survived by one son;William C.Jr.of Belle Vernon;one sister;Mrs.John Hall of Roswell;N.M.;and one granddaughter;Carol L.Kitto of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Saturday at the Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon where visiting hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday;Oct.18;1971 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.Charles Colas;pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.
