Obituary

Nicholas Konecheck,of 112 Greenwood Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,April 10,1966,at 9 p.m. in Haven Crest Nursing and Convalescent Home at Monongahela R.D. Mr. Konecheck had worked for Pittsburgh Coal Co. for 54 years.  He was a life member of the Musicians' Union. Surviving are his widow,Minnie (Beyer) Konecheck;three daughters,Mrs. George (Katherine) Boltze of Belle Vernon,Mrs. Arthur (Emma) Jernberg of Beaver Falls and Mrs. Harry (Ann) Hackenson of Belle Vernon;two sons, Norman of Port Lavaca,Tex.,and William of Belle Vernon;nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren;three brothers,Archie and Frank in Florida and Joseph of Avella,Pa .A son, First Lt. Herbert Konecheck of the U.S. Air Force was killed in action during World War II. Friends are being received at the Harold R. Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  Service there Wednesday,April 13,at 2 p.m. with theRev. J. David Barkley,pastor of the First Methodist Church in Belle Vernon,officiating.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
