William R. Kuhn,76,of 918 Anne Ave.,Speers Hill,Charleroi.died Friday,November 12,1965,at 12:15 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr. Kuhn was born in Freeport, Jan.6,1889. He was a member of Speers Methodist Church;past secretary of Charleroi Elks Club;and past treasurer of Charleroi Lions Club. A veteran of World War I,he was a member of American Legion Post 23 of Charleroi. Active in sports,he played baseball in his youth and was an active bowler until the past year. He was retired from the Allenport Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.,in 1962 after 48 years of service. He was last employed in the payroll department. Surviving are a sister,Mrs. Helen McGill,of Belle Vernon and several nieces and nephews,among whom is Mrs. Audrey Whitfield with whom he made his home. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon after 7 p.m. Saturday. Services will be held Monday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Sowden, pastor of Speers Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
