Avarilla Kessler,83,of 807 East Fairmont Rd.,Burbank,Calif.,and a former resident of Belle Vernon,died Tuesday, May 8,1962 at 8:55 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Sprouse,with whom she made her home. She was born in Friendsville, Md.,April 7,1879. Mrs. Kessler was preceded in death by her husband, George,July 1,1949. Surviving are a son, Paul of Merced, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Sprouse of Burbank and Mrs. Denzel (Mabel) Horrell of Monessen; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. May 11. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, May 12,at 2 p.m. with John Huha in charge. Interment will follow in Bellr Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
