Obituary

William Koshka, 64,of 1922 Forbes St.,Pittsburgh,died in the Oakland Veterans Hospital,Pittsburgh,Saturday, Sept. 9,1961. Mr. Koshka,who was employed a number of years ago in Monongahela area coal fields,had been hospitalized since 1949. He was born in Russia,Jan. 6,1897.  He was a veteran of World War I,and was a member of American Legion Post 5 of East Liberty. Survivors are his widow,Mary Honchalk Koshka,formerly of Lynnwood,four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Anita) Beistel,Mrs. Edward (Jennie) Brindle,Mrs. Anthony (Patricia) Richards,and Mrs. Mario (Anna) Richards,all of Pittsburgh,and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.  Prayer there Wednesday,Sept. 13,1961,at 9 a.m. will be followed by Divine Liturgy and Requiem Services in the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church,Charleroi. Parastas service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock.  The Rev. Vladmir Soroka will be in charge of funeral services and interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson,Belle Vernon, is the funeral director.
