John Kostichak,712 Ninth St.,Monessen,died suddenly Tuesday,May 26,1959 at 5 p.m. at his home. He had been in declining health for some time. Born in Czechoslovakia,he came to Monessen in 1909. He was retired in 1950 from work in the fence department of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. he was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Barbara Petrusky Kostichak; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nell Soderholm of Monessen and a granddaughter, Mrs. William Eppley of Monessen. His only son, Michael,preceded him in death in 1940. Also surviving are a brother, George of Monessen and a brother,Andrew and a sister,Anna,both in Czechoslovakia. Friends are being received at the H. Denver Rhome Funeral Home,McKee Ave.,Monessen from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. The Rev. Robert Castiaux will officiate at funeral rites and interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
