Harold E. Jones,67,of 38 Knox Ave.,Monessen,died Friday,Sept.1,1972,at 10 a.m. in Marysville,Ohio. Born March 24,1905,in Monessen,Mr. Jones was a retired clerk at the former Monessen office of P & LE Railroad. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Lodge 638 of F & AM of Monessen. He was preceded in death by his wife,Naomi Crawford Jones,in 1954. Surviving are a daughter,Mrs. John (Joy) Groat of Marysville,Ohio;a brther,Herbert J.of Monessen;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home,Monessen,where services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph C. Rial Jr.,pastor of the First United Methodist Church,Monessen,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
